Having graduated in dentistry 28 years ago, Luciane built a solid career, but due to motherhood, she temporarily took a break from research and teaching. During this period, she dedicated herself to her practice, until she decided to resume her academic journey. It was then that she found a universe of opportunities on the internet and in distance learning, enrolling in the Master’s in Healthcare Management at MUST University. The possibility of studying remotely was essential for her to be able to take this step, even though she lives in a coastal city with just over 25 thousand inhabitants, far from the major academic centers.
Her interest in meta-analysis arose from her desire to return to teaching and work in public health. Along the way, she met Dr. Rhanderson Cardoso, a brilliant cardiologist, creator of the Meta-Analysis Academy and an international reference in the field. Dr. Rhanderson revolutionized the world of scientific publications, making meta-analysis an essential tool for evidence-based medicine. “When I met Dr. Rhanderson and the Meta-Analysis Academy, I realized that meta-analysis could be my gateway to global research. The freedom to study without institutional barriers was essential for my academic development,” says Luciane.

In dentistry, systematic reviews and meta-analysis play an essential role in supporting evidence-based medicine. With a few keywords on search engines, it is possible to gather a global population to analyze interventions, use of devices and treatments safely and accurately. This methodology has established itself as one of the most respected forms of research in the academic environment.
Now, as an Expert, Luciane has expanded her network in an extraordinary way, connecting with researchers from different areas and countries. Her new position will allow her to mentor students from all over the world, contributing to innovative research in dentistry and publications in highly prestigious international journals.
