How to cultivate happiness at work and in life

Happiness Brasil Summit celebrated emotional and mental health during Happiness Month

Between March 20 and 22, 2025, São Paulo hosted the second edition of the Happiness Brasil Summit, one of Latin America’s largest events focused on happiness at work, well-being, and mental health. Held at Octávio House on Avenida Faria Lima, the event brought together experts, business leaders, and entrepreneurs to discuss how quality of life directly impacts the corporate environment and productivity.

Organized by the Happiness Brasil Institute, founded by Sandra Teschner, in partnership with the MultiCase Group, the event had institutional support from the Government of the State of São Paulo and the City of São Paulo.

In addition to inspiring lectures, the Summit promoted mentoring, immersive activities, and debates on the future of work with more well-being and purpose.

Deep reflections and moments of inspiration

The program began with the panel The Story You Choose to Tell, with the participation of Sandra Teschner, Tatiana Monteiro de Barros, Iquinho Facchini, and Ricardo Fleury. One of the most memorable moments was Sandra’s reflection on the meaning of objects and feelings, using the example of her son’s shoe to show how reframing stories can change our perception of life.

The Executive Secretary of Tourism for the State of São Paulo, Luciane Leite, highlighted the importance of choices based on quality of life. Another highly impactful panel was moderated by Sandra Teschner and featured Karina Sato and Dona Kika Sato, addressing the theme of Being and Working Happily at Any Age, reinforcing that happiness at work is independent of time or stage of life.

Renowned motivational therapist and meditation guru Tadashi Kadomoto moved the audience by sharing the influence of meditation on the brain. “Meditation reaches an area of the brain that no other activity or medicine can reach,” he said.

Businesswoman Adriana Counho Viali shared her story of courage in taking risks and transforming a company in crisis, finding motivation in the challenge. The panel on Social Health, with Izabella Camargo, Jessyca Oliveira (Jessy Borg), and Sandra Teschner, emphasized the importance of empathy and social support for mental health.

Impactful lectures and connection with education

One of the highlights of the event was the lecture by actress and journalist Monique Curi, with the theme Virada de Chave – O Poder das Escolhas (Turning Point – The Power of Choices). Monique moved the audience by sharing how she left a seemingly glamorous but unhappy life to find her true purpose.

Another notable name was Ricardo Bellino, who addressed The Power of 3 Minutes, and Giulianna Carbonari Meneghello, president of MUST University, who paid an emotional tribute to Sandra Teschner, highlighting her contribution to people’s well-being.

On the occasion, Prof. Maria Elisa Carbonari, vice president of MUST, presented the Wellness Center, the first social responsibility project focused on university mental health, designed to support students, teachers, and employees of the institution. The initiative, coordinated by Luciane Soutello and sponsored by Sandra Teschner, reaffirms MUST University’s commitment to promoting mental health in the academic environment.

Closing with cultural activities and sustainability

On March 21 and 22, the Happiness Brasil Summit took its message of well-being beyond the corporate environment. The Open University of the Environment and Culture of Peace (UMAPAZ), located in Ibirapuera Park, hosted cultural and wellness activities open to the public, promoting the integration of body and mind. Brazil’s first Human Library was also inaugurated. “A safe space where we can explore diversity,” says Sandra Teschner, the creator of the project.

On the last day, March 22, the program focused on sustainability, reinforcing the importance of the environment for collective happiness. With this, the Happiness Brasil Summit 2025 consolidated itself as an essential event for companies, professionals, and individuals seeking to transform the world of work into a more humane and welcoming space.
