Mille Project: Sewing hope and weaving smiles

Project brings love and solidarity to children undergoing cancer treatment

The Mille Project was born as a breath of love, woven by the desire of Adriana Brendler and her sisters, Eliana and Tatiana, to transform pain into hope, tears into warmth. The idea came from family history itself. At age 41, his mother, Emília, was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a difficult battle, but mutual support and family unity were essential to overcome the challenge.

Inspired by this journey, the sisters decided to spread the welcome in a sweet and delicate way. This is how Mille dolls were born, more than toys, true bonds of overcoming, affection and resilience. Each one is sewn with tenderness, carrying in the fabric and shapes the promise of a silent hug for little warriors who face challenging days.

Recently, the action gained even more strength with the support of MUST University, which acquired 200 Mille dolls as part of its solidarity initiative. The university, known for its commitment to education and inclusion, recognizes the importance of the project and encourages other institutions and individuals to contribute to the cause. “We believe that education and solidarity go together. By supporting Project Mille, we want to not only bring comfort to children undergoing cancer treatment, but also inspire others to make a difference. Small gestures can transform lives!”, says Giulianna Carbonari Meneghello, president of the American institution.

The project is also expanding to new fronts, with the expectation of holding workshops in the interior of Bahia. The objective is to involve women and teenagers in making dolls, generating income and promoting the activity as a form of therapy. “We want to increase donations and bring this experience to more people. Many dolls have already reached children outside Bahia and even Brazil“, highlights Adriana Brendler.

The official launch of the book “Mille, the Real Doll“, written by Adriana, Eliana and Tatiana Brendler, was released in December 2024, during the event Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs, at the Tivoli Hotel in Praia do Forte. The work, published by Editora Pé de Pitanga, brings a sensitive account of the story of the Mille doll and her mission to spread love and solidarity.
