Another successful edition of the MUST Expedition left a lasting impression on students from MUST University’s Master’s in Legal Studies with an Emphasis in International Law. The in-person event took place in the United States and offered participants an intense few days of learning, meaningful connections, and transformative experiences.
The program was carefully designed to bridge theory and practice. One of the most memorable moments was a visit to the courthouse in Miami, Florida, where students observed real trials, engaged with American judges, and witnessed the U.S. legal system in action.
In addition to academic activities and technical visits, the occasion was made even more special by the graduation ceremony of three students from the program, reinforcing MUST’s commitment to academic excellence and to preparing professionals to work in a global legal landscape.
For Professor Carlos Afonso Silva, Adjunct Faculty and Capstone Advisor, the experience was remarkable: “It was a spectacular event. Our students had the chance to learn about another justice system, received valuable insights from American judges, participated in workshops and visits, and got to know the MUST University headquarters. I’m happy to be part of all these achievements!”
Graduate João Vitor Alves Rocha shared how the experience impacted him personally: “Until now, MUST was just a screen and a group of students chatting.”
Student Andrea Calabrez Batista Ramos emphasized the value of the bonds formed during the event: “Being able to hug the classmates who were here was extraordinary.”
The MUST Expedition is more than an academic activity — it’s a movement that connects educators and students around a common purpose: taking knowledge beyond borders and promoting innovation, inclusion, and real impact in people’s lives.
If you are a current or former MUST University student, get ready — the next experiences are already being planned. Come be part of this transformative journey!
