MUST University participated in the 30th CIAED – ABED International Congress on Distance Education, held in Curitiba (PR) from May 7 to 10, 2025. Considered the largest distance learning event in Brazil, the congress brought together representatives from national and international educational institutions, researchers, educators, and professionals in the field to discuss the direction and innovations of digital education.
With its own booth, MUST presented its trilingual master’s and doctoral programs to the public—with classes in Portuguese, English, and Spanish—and highlighted its role as the only American university founded by Brazilians. The institution’s team was available throughout the event to explain its methodology, present the course curriculum, and answer questions about admission processes, documentation, and student support.
The CIAED program included lectures, workshops, mini-courses, and technical sessions. Among the highlights were the participation of MUST University President Giulianna Carbonari Meneghello, who spoke at two official events.
On May 7, Giulianna participated in the panel “Education without barriers, without borders, and the challenge of three cultures,” where she shared her thoughts on the paths of international education and the challenges of a multicultural teaching model. On May 9, she joined Luciane Soutello, director of the MUST Wellness Center and founder of Blissence Education, to present the case study Wellness Center MUST University. The project is an initiative of the institution that integrates well-being and emotional health into the academic trajectory of students.
“We believe that sharing knowledge is the bridge that connects ideas, transforms trajectories, and builds futures,” said Giulianna Carbonari Meneghello during her speech.
For the academic director of MUST University, Alexandre Mastella, participation in the event reinforces the quality of the institution’s pedagogical proposal. “Excellent event: quality content and lots of interaction,” he said.
MUST’s participation in the 30th CIAED reaffirmed the university’s role in promoting excellent, accessible, and global education. Its participation in the congress also strengthened its mission to consolidate the internationalization of distance learning, with a focus on training leaders prepared for contemporary challenges.
The institution thanks ABED (Brazilian Association of Distance Education) for organizing the event and for creating such a relevant space for strengthening the sector. In an increasingly connected world, distance learning shows its strength by breaking down geographical, cultural, and social barriers, democratizing access to knowledge and transforming lives on a global scale.
