MUST University expands its presence in Portugal and will be part of the future “Espaço Modal” in Guimarães

MUST University takes another important step in its international expansion, consolidating its presence in Europe with the confirmation that it will join Espaço Modal, a future academic and institutional center to be established in Guimarães, Portugal. The venture is part of the strengthening of the partnership with CESPU — Cooperativa de Ensino Superior Politécnico e Universitário (Polytechnic and University Higher Education Cooperative).

The project will be developed in a historic building, recently ceded by the Guimarães City Council to CESPU, the University of Minho, the University of Porto, the Santas Casas de Misericórdia, and MUST University. The building is currently undergoing renovation and adaptation to house Espaço Modal, a space shared by these prestigious institutions. MUST’s presence in this space places the American university in a select group of international academic references.

MUST University will contribute with its Business School, offering new courses aimed at training excellence in the areas of Artificial Intelligence Applied to Health Management, Management, Agribusiness, and other courses that are under development, always with a focus on management and innovation—the institution’s trademarks.

During an important meeting held in Guimarães to present the project for the future venture (illustrated in the image gallery below), the following were present: Dr. José Carlos Cruz, Administrator of CESPU; Prof. Dr. Pedro Cunha, President of Senhora da Oliveira Hospital; Domingos Bragança, Mayor of Guimarães; Prof. Débora Leite, Head of Institutional Relations at MUST University; and Silvio Meneghello, Director of International Relations at MUST.

“For MUST, it is a great honor to enter Europe alongside major institutions and participate in an innovative project such as Espaço Modal. Being in this environment will be the realization of a vision of internationalization that transcends borders, always with the purpose of transforming lives through education. We are expanding opportunities for negotiation with local city halls and hospitals, strengthening the integration between the institution and the community, and expanding opportunities for strategic collaboration in the health and education sectors,” said Silvio Meneghello.

The partnership with CESPU, which is nothing new, thus enters a new chapter, with the projection of a physical space of reference, new fronts of action, and the strengthening of MUST’s presence on European soil.
