MUST University, committed to quality training and social impact, announces the launch of the Social Responsibility Project – NeuroClass – NEUROSCIENCE FOR PROFESSIONALS AND BUSINESSES – Basic Level, an initiative that seeks to improve the quality of life and expand the knowledge of its students, teachers and employees.
Inspired by the positive results obtained in a Neurobusiness program previously carried out with the university management, the initiative will now be open to a wider audience. The program will be taught by the renowned professor Eliane Zanluchi, specialist in Behavioral Neuroscience, and will aim to raise the level of awareness about the capabilities of the human brain to face contemporary challenges.
The importance of Neurobusiness in times of change
The proposal comes at a time when technology, led by Artificial Intelligence, is transforming various sectors of society. According to authors such as Mustafa Suleyman (2024), this technological “next wave” requires a significant adaptation effort, both in the emotional and cognitive fields. In this context, the program is based on recent studies that show how mental balance and neuroplasticity are crucial to dealing with these transformations.
Research such as that by Damásio (2012) highlights that emotions, decision-making and consciousness play essential roles in human behavior and social adaptation. Studies by the World Health Organization (2022) warn of the impact of the pandemic on global mental health, with a significant increase in cases of anxiety and depression, especially among students and professionals.
Program content and structure
The NeuroClass will consist of 12 online classes, held on the second Saturday of each month, starting on February 8, 2025. Among the topics covered are:
- Neuroscience applied to human behavior;
- Techniques for emotional management;
- Mindfulness strategies;
- Importance of physical exercise and positive social interactions;
- Development of leadership and posture in social hierarchy.
The program, entitled NEUROSCIENCE FOR PROFESSIONALS AND BUSINESS – Basic Level, will be free and internationally certified, requiring participation in at least eight classes to obtain the certificate.
“With NeuroClass, we reaffirm our commitment to preparing our students and employees for the challenges of a world in constant transformation, combining knowledge, well-being and social responsibility”, highlights Giulianna Carbonari Meneghello, president of MUST University.
Social and historical impact
The project also reflects Prof. Maria Elisa Ehrhardt Carbonari, vice-president of MUST University, whose journey in social responsibility has impacted more than 1.5 million people between 1994 and 2013, through transformative initiatives at Anhanguera Educacional. Now, through MUST University, the goal is to go even further, reaching 2 million lives.
“This project is not just a learning opportunity, but an invitation to transform lives through the power of neuroscience, strengthening the human capacity to adapt and overcome,” highlights the professor.
