MUST University supports international congress on health management held in Portugal

On May 9 and 10, 2025, the city of Paredes, Portugal, hosted the II Health Management Administration International Congress, an event that brought together experts, professionals, and students from several countries to discuss the latest trends and innovations in health management. MUST University, an American institution founded by Brazilians, was one of the supporters of the congress, reinforcing its international presence and commitment to training leaders prepared for the global challenges of the sector.

Organized by CESPU (Cooperative for Polytechnic and University Higher Education), an institutional partner of MUST University, the congress took place at the Auditorium of the Paredes Cultural Center, in Porto District, and featured a rich and diverse program. Over the two days, participants attended lectures, round tables, and workshops led by renowned national and international experts.

Key topics of discussion included emerging health technologies, innovative strategies to optimize the efficiency of health systems, and human resource management in times of crisis—subjects of great relevance in a context of constant transformation and demand for effective solutions.

MUST’s participation was marked by intense moments of learning and knowledge exchange with professors, students, and professionals from different parts of the world. A highlight was Professor Luiz Miguel Sanches, advisor of the Master’s program in Health Management at MUST University, who played an active role in two sessions. On Saturday, May 10, he delivered a lecture on “Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence applied to Health Management.” Then, on Monday, May 12, he led the First Workshop on “Artificial Intelligence applied to Education” (IAED), offered by MUST University to CESPU professors and coordinators. This initiative is part of a new project involving the partnership between MUST and the Portuguese institution.

In addition to strengthening ties with CESPU, MUST’s participation provided an opportunity to build closer relationships with the European academic community and reinforce the role of education as an agent of transformation in health management.

“We believe that events like this are essential to stimulate debate, promote knowledge exchange, and prepare professionals for a more conscious and strategic performance in the health sector,” said Giulianna Carbonari Meneghello, President of MUST University.

Supporting initiatives such as the II Health Management Administration International Congress aligns with MUST University’s mission to promote high-quality education with a global reach, focused on human, professional, and social development across diverse cultural contexts.
